Jack Bauer is Tony Almeida’s coworker at CTU. He strongly feels that Tony should be freed. He says that if Tony goes to jail it will be the worst thing that ever happened to him since some truck ran over his dog when he was seven years old. Here’s what he said.
Dear Readers,
It is my honest opinion that Tony Almeida should not go to jail. Tony is a nice guy. He wouldn’t intentionally do anything against his country. We do tend not to get along sometimes, and occasionally I have a strong urge to push his head down a toilet, but we’re really close friends. We go to the bar together sometimes.
This is what arresting Tony is like to me: The summer of my seventh year my dog and I were playing outside. My mother was in the house washing dishes. My father was at work. It was in the middle of July, very hot. My dog Skippy and I were playing catch, and I remember I threw the Frisbee so far that it went into the street. But Skippy was a loyal dog. He followed that Frisbee all the way to the street. And you want to know what happened?
He got hit by a truck. And the truck driver got away. He blamed Skippy for getting hit. Skippy should have seen the truck coming. But Skippy was only trying to get the Frisbee. Skippy was a loyal dog. Skippy died being loyal.
The point is: Tony is like a loyal dog named Skippy. Don’t let him get run over by inconsiderate truck drivers just because he was trying to catch a Frisbee.
